Demolish What Block?

Demolish The Block is the latest in a line of writer/author blogs, curated primarily by myself, Diego Green.

Hello.

I am an aspiring novelist, short fiction writer, an occasional poet, and a fairly bad screenwriter (though I’m willing to learn). My fiction usually skews towards horror and the speculative in terms of genre.

The block in question, which is marked for some form of theoretical demolition at an unfixed point in time, is Writer’s Block, of course, that most prevalent of all debilitating word-related maladies. And as I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that the Block extends to other portions of my life as well. Fear of failure has more or less halted my progress not only as a writer, but as a person as well.

And so, in theory, this blog is the wrecking ball/sledgehammer/dynamite that is meant to be the downfall of my personal Block. Expect this demolition to manifest itself through the posting of original creative works, personal essays, ramblings about real-life endeavors, and possibly even reviews of various medias.

Whether or not I will be successful in this undertaking has yet to be seen.
